Sound Radix has just released Radical1 Solo, a free synth plugin for macOS and Windows that gives you a taste of the company’s powerful Radical1 synthesis engine without spending anything.
Radical1 Solo is built around additive synthesis, with tools for shaping individual harmonics and creating evolving, highly detailed sounds.
It includes the same core oscillators, modulation system, filters, and effects found in the full Radical1 instrument, along with features such as spectral shaping, sample resynthesis, and real-time visual feedback.
The main catch is that Solo is monophonic and limited to a single layer, so it’s primarily aimed at basses, leads, sequences, and other single-note sounds.
