I’ve been checking out lately, and it’s honestly become one of the more impressive AI audio tools out there for creators, producers, remixers, and editors. What started as a simple browser-based vocal remover has evolved into a full ecosystem of apps and plugins that work across web, desktop, and mobile.
The main thing LALAL.AI is known for is stem separation — basically pulling vocals, drums, bass, guitars, piano, and other elements out of a full mix with surprisingly clean results. It’s useful for remixing, sampling, karaoke tracks, practice sessions, podcast cleanup, and even restoring old recordings. The platform now supports up to 10 different stems depending on the model and workflow.
It also features a Voice Cleaner that strips out background mic rumble and ambient noise, an Echo & Reverb Remover, and a Lead/Back Vocal Splitter (which is a total game-changer if you need to separate a lead singer from the harmony track). They’ve even added creative tools like AI Voice Cloning and a Voice Changer to custom-build voiceovers or tweak vocal tones.
One of the biggest recent additions is the new VST plugin for DAWs. Instead of uploading tracks to a website and waiting for downloads, you can now separate stems directly inside your production workflow. The plugin works with VST3-compatible DAWs and supports Windows, macOS, and Linux, which is something you don’t always see with audio tools.
