Audio Assault has released another freebie for guitar players: Carntens Greys, a new amp module for its Amp Locker platform. The catch is that it’s only free for a limited time, so it’s worth grabbing while the offer is available.
Carntens Greys isn’t a standalone plugin. You’ll need Amp Locker, Audio Assault’s free amp-simulation platform, to run it. The good news is that Amp Locker itself is free and includes several amps, effects, and cabinet options, with additional modules available separately.
The amp is inspired by the Casterns Grace Billy Corgan Signature and covers everything from semi-clean tones through to heavier high-gain sounds.
One interesting feature is the headroom control, which changes how the amp responds and breaks up, giving you some extra control over its compression and saturation.
