If you’re looking for a new creative compressor to add to your plugin collection, there’s a pretty good freebie available right now. W.A. Production Presser, normally priced at $29.90, can currently be downloaded for free for a limited time.
Presser is a full-range compressor with some nice creative extras. It was developed with producer and YouTuber Aiden Kenway, and it covers the usual bases.
The fun part is the Glue, Punch, and Heat controls.
Glue lets you morph the compressor’s character from a fast peak-style transient tamer to a smoother bus-style glue compressor.
Punch adds transient emphasis through a built-in dynamic EQ (great for kicks, snares, and bass), while Heat brings in analog-style saturation both before and after the compression stage.
