I just came across a really interesting new free plugin called TugPhonon, developed by Tuğrul Akyüz, and it’s definitely not your typical delay effect.
It recreates the spirit of the legendary Phonogène – that historic 1951 rotating magnetic disk device used by Pierre Schaeffer and Jacques Poullin for early musique concrète experiments. At its heart, TugPhonon is a vintage-style tape delay, but it goes way beyond a standard echo effect.
It features a virtual rotating disk with eight independent playback heads. Each head can be tweaked separately with its own band-pass filter, delay position, volume, pan, feedback, and even a dedicated physical modelling resonator.
Hazme saber lo que piensas de este plugin.
