Analog Obsession has released ToneShaper, a new free plugin designed for quick and musical tone adjustments. Available for both Windows and macOS, it focuses on two main controls: Tone and Body.
The Tone control lets you move a sound toward a darker or brighter character, while Body works around the low-mid and midrange frequencies to add fullness or reduce unwanted thickness. This makes ToneShaper useful when a track needs a quick tonal correction without reaching for a full parametric EQ.
Under the hood it’s a fully passive design. The circuit takes a roughly 20 dB hit internally, which the plugin then restores with a clean boost. There are no nonlinear elements in the path, so what you hear is pure frequency shaping—no extra harmonics or modeled grit.
