This New Plugin Finally Fixes These Huge Mixing Problems! – RoboComp By Raccoon Audio

Raccoon Audio has just released RoboComp, a new compressor plugin aimed at giving producers more control over where compression happens in a stereo mix.

RoboComp is built around two simple but powerful ideas. First is M/S Focus. Instead of treating left and right the same, you can dial the compression toward the mid (kick, snare, lead vocal, bass) while leaving the sides relatively free—or the opposite, taming wide elements without killing the center energy.

Second is Sensor Tilt. This biases the detector toward low-end weight or high-frequency bite. No more extra sidechain EQ just to stop the sub from triggering everything. Tilt it low for heavy pull, or high so the lows keep breathing while the compressor grabs the transients and edge.

The response is inspired by classic units like the LA-2A and 1176—musical and fast— but combines that character with a more modern approach to stereo and frequency-dependent dynamics.
