If you’re into guitar plugins you need to check out Audio Assault’s latest release. They dropped Amp Locker 98 today, and it’s completely free – at least for a limited time.
The whole thing is styled like a classic late-90s Windows 98 application, complete with pixelated graphics, that old-school installer look, and even a recommendation to run it in Internet Explorer 4.0 at 800×600 resolution. It’s clearly an April Fools’ joke on the surface, but don’t let that fool you – the amp modeling inside is the real deal.
It comes packed with six amps modeled by ear (and with impressively low CPU usage): 800, 5150, Rectifier, Twin, Top Boost and Bassman.
Let me know what you think of this vst.
