I Tried This New Free VST Plugin… and It Blew Me Away! - auras:tephra By Venus Theory

I’m always on the lookout for free instruments that actually deliver, and Venus Theory just dropped something special with their latest release in the AURAS series: auras: tephra.

This one is built exclusively for the free Decent Sampler plugin, and it’s inspired by the wild, volcanic Genki Katla synthesizer—an exotic (and apparently very expensive) Icelandic hardware beast.

Venus Theory took that fiery, unpredictable character and captured it in a sample-based instrument that’s now available to everyone at zero cost.

What you get is a collection of molten synthetic textures: jagged leads, crunchy basses, drifting pads, and eerie, tension-filled soundscapes.

Let me know what you think of this vst.
