There’s a brand new amp simulator plugin called Altar that just dropped, and get this: it’s completely free and open-source! (Windows only though). The developer (Instruments By Lamprey) is claiming this thing has a feature set you’d expect in a $200 premium product.
You get two solid amp channels: a super clean, glassy channel, and a modern high-gain beast for all your chugging needs. But here’s the kicker—it has NAM support too, also cab designer, effects & other cool stuff.
