Just spotted a new freebie that’s generating some buzz in the plugin world. Sweet Audio has dropped Scintillate, a spectral reverb plugin that took first place in the KVR Developer Challenge 2026.
What makes it interesting isn’t your standard room or plate reverb. Scintillate works more like a “spectral reverb sparkle engine.” It sprinkles little spectral sparkles into a more conventional reverb tail, giving sounds a shimmering, lively quality that feels different from the usual suspects.
Dial it back and it adds a subtle layer of movement—great for pads, plucks, bells, or ambient textures. Push the spawn and decay harder and it can bloom into massive walls of sound or evolving swells.
There’s also a density control that acts a bit like a spectral gate, only letting the strongest sparkles through. Handy if your mix already has plenty of traditional reverb.
Hazme saber lo que piensas de este plugin.
