What makes it interesting isn’t a list of classic gear names or technical specs. The developer deliberately kept those out of the picture. The whole point is to stop staring at numbers and start listening.
The GUI is intentionally a bit weird and playful on purpose — partly for fun, partly to push you out of “set it by the numbers” mode and into pure ear-based tweaking.
Rather than being just another EQ, compressor, or saturation plugin, Box Of Color takes a more creative approach. It combines several stages of processing into one playful sound-shaping tool, including color, saturation, compression, EQ, delay, reverb, and additional processing stages.
