Just stumbled across a fantastic new free plugin that’s perfect for anyone polishing tracks on a budget. Orra Audio dropped Tone Zone today — a smart tonal curve corrector that goes way beyond simple metering.
Tone Zone is all about helping you get your mix’s tonal balance in check. It gives you a visual representation of your spectrum and compares it against target curves based on different genres, so you can quickly see where things might be off. It reminds me a bit of more high-end referencing tools like iZotope’s Tonal Balance Control, but this one goes a step further.
What makes it really interesting is that it’s not just a passive analyzer. You also get built-in processing, including an automatic corrective EQ, a parametric EQ, and even per-band saturation. So instead of just telling you what’s wrong, it can actually help fix it right inside the plugin.
