Amner Hunter – Turning Point Mix (Metal Mixing Contest)

I want to present you my entry for the Dark Times Collaboration – Turning Point Mix Contest 2021. 

I’m proud of my result to be honest, especially because I use only FREE plugins to mix and master. We got the multitrack files and it is an awesome production from start to finish, a cool challenge was to put our sound into the song and our own arrangements. 

I chose the distortion of all the guitars cause we got the clean DI files, also same with the bass. Since we could change whatever we wanted or add anything, I composed and recorded 2 small guitar solos in the songs. Cool ideas came to mind while mixing to make the song more interesting from start to finish. Overall cool experience and practice most of all. Good luck to all the contestants.
