I recently received this comment on one of my YouTube video that really made me chuckle. While it’s easy to dismiss troll internet comments, this one actually got me thinking about what it truly means to be a “serious audio producer” and, frankly, why embracing your inner “geek” might just be your superpower.

As someone passionate & somehwhat “geeky” about music production and the tools we use, I felt compelled to address this comment and unpack it.

So what defines a “serious audio producer”? Is it the DAW they use? The brand of their monitor speakers? a strong work ethic & discipline? grammy winners?
